What should I do when a User who is setup in BridgeTrak leaves the company?
It is possible to delete a User from the database without any adverse affect on any help desk issues that are associated with that User. To delete a User from BridgeTrak for Windows, go to Setup | Users, select a User ID from the Users Windows, then select Delete to delete the user. However, if you would prefer not to delete the User (or still want to see the User's name in the dropdown menu), go to Setup | Security | Users and select the appropriate User ID from the menu. Then click Edit and uncheck all of the login privileges that are selected. If the user does not have any login privilege selected it will not count against the number of Users in your license. The "None" login privilege also allows you to create Users that represent individuals or third-party vendors who would not be accessing BridgeTrak. These Users can then be assigned to Issues to represent their involvement, allowing you to accurately track the Issue without using a User seat from your license. |
